The girls had their first bus ride today...our church has a bus and a group of us went to the Portland Children's Museum on it. The girls were sooo excited about riding the bus.
When I used to teach kindergarten in the inner-city, the other teachers and I used to joke that all we needed for a field trip was to charter a bus - we didn't need to go anywhere special, just for a bus ride. I think that for kids who don't ride it regularly, it can be a very exciting new experience :-).
