Troutdale Parade

It's a rainy weekend here....rain, rain, rain

We went to the local parade yesterday (in the rain). It was a pretty sad event - no one went out of their way when it came to making floats. There were several groups who just dressed alike and walked in the parade - we aren't even sure who or what they were representing.

But the kids got candy.

And there was one marching band....the Get a Life Marching Band of Portland. If you can't tell, this band is all older folks (probably age 50+), who never quite got over their high school or college marching band days. They were quite funny and appeared to be enjoying themselves quite a bit - see for yourself.

Today we are cleaning out closets and getting ready for our garage sale next weekend. Our church youth group is having one, and we can rent a table. We'll donate most of our stuff, but the girls have some stuff they want to sell. The girls have been bugging us to have a sale, and this seems like the perfect solution.
