A Day at the Coast

Kevin took Monday off and we headed to the coast. We took mom to our favorite spot...

We asked Kayleigh to take a picture of us, with the view behind us, but this is what we got.

So here's the view...

We hiked the almost 2 miles down only to discover that the tide pools we love had been covered with sand. We stayed a bit, but it was quite windy which made it a bit chilly.

How to get a little girl wet....

Scoop her up

walk into the water

drop her in

and try to catch her before she runs out

take her back in and start all over

The water was numbingly cold!

Next we headed further south to Pacific City. We've been there before (last July) and wanted to go again.

Kevin and I went up the dune twice. I didn't take my camera up the first time, so I went up again.

This is looking back at Cape Lookout - where we spent the first part of the day. We were wondering if we might be able to walk all the way to Pacific City and from this view it looks like it's doable.
