Before I get to the pictures of last week, I have to show off my garden. We came back to bloom city and it's beautiful. Since I took these photos over the weekend, more sunflowers have bloomed.
This broccoli was ready to eat while we were gone....I've never seen one bloom, have you?
I finally have flowers to cut and bring inside!
Sunflowers are my favorite
our marigolds are finally blooming...they are 4 feet tall!
and the sunflowers along the fence continue to grow
We also came home to quite a harvest of zucchini....
Last night for dinner we had zucchini hamburger pie, zucchini egg casserole and zucchini bread!
WOW - those sunflowers are GORGEOUS! Love the red & yellow/orange petals! Your zinnias are so pretty. I've never seen broccoli flower! Does that mean it's gone to seed? Can you still eat the broccoli? Are the flowers edible? You have become an excellent gardener!

ReplyDeleteLin...I looked up broccoli that flowers and learned that it's still edible - I haven't tried it yet, but I will.
