This past week Kevin had the chance to climb Mt. Baker in Washington. His good friend, Dave and his son Sam, flew out from Boston and joined him. They drove up early Thursday morning and met up with the Eubank family (missionaries in Thailand/Burma) and hiked to base camp.
They woke up around 3 am Friday to set off to the summit.
It's a little hard for me to narrate this post as I was not there, so I'll mostly let the pictures speak for themselves.

Heading for the summit
If you look closely in the next few pictures you can see how small some of the people are, giving you some perspective of the enormity of this mountain.
Looking back down at Sam and Dave
Like this one....do you see three dots near the rock on the right? Those are three climbers.
On the summit

Beautiful pictures!!! I am so glad Kevin got to do that and you girls stayed home! never wanted to do that but do enjoy the pictures.
ReplyDeleteAnother achievement for you Kevin! Well done! You look so happy on top of that mountain, not at all afraid. It's so great to see you with Dave - he looks good! Beautiful photos and breathtaking scenery. Congratulations on conquering another mountain!
