New Year's Eve and Day

Sunriver has become our favorite getaway and we've developed a few traditions. One is a certain meal we eat (the Sunriver meal) and the girls like to help cook. 

We also played Apples to Apples for the first time last year in Sunriver and now we have our own game to play anytime we want.

We toasted in the New Year with ginger ale....the local grocery store was all out of sparkling cider.

We spent New Year's day at the Bend Rock gym. They have several "auto-belay" systems which means we can all climb at the same time. So we did a couple races up the wall.

The sun was shining so we headed into town for a walk along the Deschutes River.

Along the way we saw several (pathetically) decorated Christmas trees.

And on the drive home we were treated to a gorgeous sunset!
