Bike Riding

Last night I had the brilliant idea to take the girls and their bikes to Marquette Commons...it's an area downtown that is used for many different things. In the winter, they flood it and people ice skate there. On Saturdays, it's the site of the Farmers Market. And so we bundled up (it is only July, afterall) and the girls got some riding in. It was nice because we didn't have to worry about cars or other bikers.

  1. Bundled up???? HILARIOUS!!!!

Our weather has been smokin' hot and people have been dying of heat exhaustion. Literally, dying. Sad.

    What cuties riding their bikes!!!

  2. "Think back to your first cycling experience, the moment you wobbled beyond the clutches of an anxious parent, without recourse to training wheels. Chances are, it rates as a highlight of childhood–your first real taste of freedom and even pride in ownership. It was your bike–and you were free to go wherever your spinning feet could take you, or so it seemed. And it was indeed a true love affair, likely to lure you back time and time again, even when you thought you had moved on.”
