The other day I gathered some leaves on my way home from my run. I put them in a pile, plugged in a hot glue gun and gave Sydney some card stock paper and googly eyes. This is what Miss Creative came up with....

S, T, U, V
I'm not quite as enthusiastic about these letters anymore...it was fun at first, but 20 letters later, it's becoming a chore. For me, anyway. I guess the girls are still having fun.
S is for squirrel (Syd) and snake (Kay), T is for turtle, U is for umbrella (ironically it was a beautiful, sunny day when we did this one!) and V is for vase.

Letter Crafts
Last week I stumbled on a new blog called Pocketful of Posies...it's full of ideas for teaching little ones. I just love their letter crafts and decided to give it a try with my girls. The day before we started, a friend posted pics of her boys making an alligator out of the letter A! She got the idea from a different site called No Time for Flashcards. I've put buttons on the side of this blog that will lead you to these sites if you want to check them out for yourselves!
Here's what our letter crafts look like so far.
A is for alligator, B is for bee and C is for caterpillar

Butterflies, Bicycles and Bird Nests
Enjoying some sunshine...
Sydney's worm...
Kayleigh's mushroom...
The girls were watching Sid the Science Kid this morning, and the characters on the show made nests. I was listening to the materials they used and realized we had all of them in our craft drawer so....
Garage Project....
I'm pretty sure I broke some "Don't Touch the Tools" rule by doing this, but I did it out of love. The garage needed some serious organizing. I would love to "minimize" what we have in the garage, but Kevin says we need it all.
