Weekend Update

Although I've been quiet on the blog for a couple days, life has not been quiet! We had a lovely week of warm, summer weather and made it to the beach 5 out of 7 days last week!

We also had a very successful garage sale and are beginning to get things ready for our move which is less than 3 weeks away.

We had several opportunities to spend time with friends and enjoy the beautiful outdoors... here are some pictures.






Today we went on a canoeing trip with our friends...it was fun and relaxing to float down the river. We went about a mile on the river and ended up at Lake Superior. Three of the girls had fun floating in this yellow raft that was attached to one of the canoes. We were amazed at how good and quiet they were!

Water Falls

Last Thursday we ventured out to Munising to see as many waterfalls as we could find. Our first stop was Horseshoe Falls, but since it was privately owned, there was a $5 admission fee. We skipped those falls.

But we did find Wagner Falls.

We then headed to Munising Falls...





We also stopped along the road to see Spray Falls...you can walk behind these.

Ruffle Skirts and Photo Shoots

One of the things Tara and I started doing just before I moved from Minnesota was trying our hand at "photo shoots" of our girls. We aren't great, but we do have fun! So when Tara made these great ruffle skirts for all the girls, we knew we'd have to do a photo shoot of them wearing them.

Friends!!!

Our good friends from Minnesota (Tara and her girls) came to visit us this past week...it was supposed to be 2 days, but we were very fortunate to get 2 extra days with them!! Unfortunately, the Foley girls got sick and by the time they left, the other little girls were starting to show signs of being sick.

We had lots and lots of fun and I got to finally meet this precious little girl, Jillian Grace.

We went to the beach 3 days...we didn't have the warmest weather, but it was still fun.
