This is what we picked up today...
Keep in mind that our neighborhood is not very big and this was not our first time doing this. Two days ago we picked up 8 plastic bottles!!!!Sydney thinks it's great and calls it "saving the day" or "saving the Earth". Kayleigh will very excitedly grunt and point if she sees something!
I just don't understand how anyone finds it acceptable to throw their trash on the ground.........

That's awesome! It's a great way to teach your kids about respecting others and the earth by cleaning up after themselves and others when need be. Building a servant attitue already!
