Since we have quite a bit of snow already, we got out our new cross country skis and gave it a go this weekend. Kevin made a cool sled for the girls to ride it. Our first attempt was Saturday, and Kayleigh cried the whole time. I ended up trying to carry her...we both feel down!
Then Sunday, after church, we ventured out again to our favorite stretch along Lake Superior. As always, it was gorgeous and it was fun to see it in a new season! We took along some camping supplies and had hot chocolate in the snow.
Wow, I can't believe how much snow you have already. It looks beautiful, the pictures are just gorgeous!
By the way, your comment on Friday made me laugh, because I have experienced those colossal messes way to many times myself, just when I thought everyone was playing quietly! Thankfully, last Friday, there were no huge messes!
I am so jealous! I have to admit I enjoy reading your blog to dream of seeing snow, at least more than a dusting that lasts only a couple hours! Enjoy that white stuff for me!
I saw your comment over at "Sheep Droppings" and thought I'd come and see your blog. Your girls are precious!
I live in Houston but grew up off the shores of Lake Erie in Pennsylvania. Can you say "Lake Effect"? I don't miss it AT ALL. But it sure is pretty to look at.
But when our heat, humidity and hurricanes hit - I'm headed north!
