We are fully entrenched in winter here....6 inches of snow on the ground, temps in the 20s and 30s every day. I like winter...really, I do. But snow in November? Well, I guess winter is only 4 months of the year. Wait....up here it's more like 5 months....ok, ok...6 months!
I'm in the process of taking down my autumn decorations because even though Thanksgiving is next week, it just doesn't look right to have a fall wreath hanging on a house that is surrounded in snow. Even the 3 year old knows that it's just not right... we were coloring turkey pictures this morning and she said, "Mom, don't you have any snow pictures or stickers?"
I saw a really cute idea for making turkeys with pine cones and was getting ready to get everything together when I realized ALL OUR PINECONES ARE BURIED IN THE SNOW!
Did I mention that I just heard a weather report...lake effect snow advisory now through Friday morning...possible 12-18 inches!
