Christmas Presents

Just wanted to show you a couple of my favorite Christmas presents....

This first one is a piece of furniture my parents got years and years ago. It always sat in our kitchen/dining area when I was growing up. My brother has had it in his home for the past 10 or so years and I had told him if he was ever "done" with it, I would love to have it. Well...my mom and Keith drove out to VA for Thanksgiving and brought this back to IL with them. Then they brought it up to me on Christmas. Isn't it beautiful?

I love the little side doors...

And this is from my Grandma...Ella Domnick.

She is 93 years old and this past year moved to a nursing home. Since being there, she has taken up painting. This was the first painting she completed and she wanted Kevin and I to have it. Didn't she do a great job? Especially for this being her first painting ever? And at the age of 93? It is proudly displayed in my home and is a wonderful reminder of such a great lady.

  2. First of all, your Grandma did a great job on that painting! That is amazing. Remember when we would play grocery store in their basement? That was so much fun!
Also, I totally remember that piece of furniture.
