Sydney

Today we were in the locker room at the YMCA after swimming lessons and a woman came in. I think this woman is a cancer survivor as she had just fuzz for hair. She also had some markings on her shoulder.

Sydney began to stare...you could see the curiosity in her eyes. I was thinking, "Please, oh please don't ask me why that woman doesn't have any hair".

She didn't.

Instead she said, "Mommy, why do some people like to draw on themselves?"

I said, "I don't know, honey."

Then Sydney said, "Why don't you know anything mom? Dad always knows things. He is smarter than you."

The other woman in the locker room began laughing and said to Sydney, "Your mommy is smart...she knows when to say 'I don't know'. Your daddy just makes things up to give you and answer!"
