Back From Vacation!

This is going to be a LONG post with LOTS of pictures.

We are back! We had a WONDERFUL week away. We drove down to Chicago last Friday. Kevin had a big exam to take and then a conference to attend in the windy city. It just so happened to be my mom's 60th birthday and so we all crashed at Henry and Ana's for the weekend to celebrate with her.

I finally got to meet this precious little guy....Anthony. If you don't know his story, you can read all about him in the posts labeled Anthony.





My brother and Darren drove in from Virginia for a very short weekend visit...but it was great to see them. It had been a year and a half since I last saw them. We started celebrating right away with a round of margaritas!




On Saturday, the whole group (minus Kevin), went to the Shedd Aquarium to explore the creatures of the water. We saw some very cool creatures!









We ate lunch on the patio and had a beautiful view of Chicago's skyline





After the Aquarium, we took the ferry to Navy Pier




There were some beautiful flowers on Navy Pier...








We found this very cool fountain just across the street from the Navy Pier entrance. The kids really enjoyed watching the water shoot up. This other little girl in the pictures, was not part of our group, but she was so funny. She kept telling Syd, Kay and Christian when the water would shoot.






And this was after Sydney got brave and decided to "experience" the fountain.



We went to a Mexican restaraunt to celebrate Mom's birthday...for some reason they had these huge polar bear statues outside the restaraunt.



After the restaraunt, we went back to the Pachecos for the yummy birthday cake!
