Because Kevin was playing drums, he had to get there early to set up.
Because we only have one car, we had to go early with him.
That gave us 2 hours to play on the playground, walk some trails and play in the gazebo. We had a lovely morning.

Here are some short clips of Kevin jamming...
Then this evening, we packed a simple picnic (baguette, cheese, wine, PB&J) and headed down to the lake. It was perfect weather and the perfect end to an already great day!

Church in the park looks like SO much fun! Why don't all churches do this on sunny summer days???
ReplyDeletePicnic looks like fun too! :) Glad you guys had a wonderful weekend!!

ReplyDeleteGlad you had fun and good weather

It was freezing in Stone Lake this morning at a whopping 61% at 9:00 A.M., I can't imagine being baptized in Lake Superior. BRRRR! So hoping that it will warm up by the end of this month as we will be out on Madeline Island. Jill, you get all over the place and now you are moving to Portland. Church outside would be my vote too! Thanks for the photos and the clips.
ReplyDeleteA drummer?! Nice.
ReplyDeleteSo very cool, church in the park!
ReplyDeleteThe picnic on the lake looks like a good time was had by all.
The pictures of the girls are great, and church in the park looks like so much fun! Way to go Kevin on the drums, love it! What a great weekend...I am glad to see you do get some nice outside time without snow, lol!
ReplyDeleteYeah..so about the "nice" weather....notice we are still wearing pants and jackets! It does warm up to 70 (usually), but we wake up to temps in the 50s (sometimes 40s).
ReplyDeleteThe picture of you and Kevin together! Typically it is you and the girls or him and the girls, but rarely are there pics of you together!
ReplyDeleteawesome drumming!
ReplyDeleteyou always inspire me with how positive you are about things that could easily be majorly frustrating--like getting your girls up and out two hours earlier to support kevin and the worship team! what a great example.
