Rain Hike

It's been rainy here, but we still made it out for a hike yesterday. It wasn't raining too hard and we were pretty protected by the forest. We mostly had the trail to ourselves which was nice! The girls did great...I think this was their best hike so far. We probably did 4 miles and both girls walked most of it!



The amount of moss on the trees never ceases to amaze me...I've just never seen anything quite like it before!




The river was moving pretty fast - we've had some rainy days lately!

This is the giant cedar tree we saw...later we were reading about it and found out it's about 10 feet in width!


There were several cedar trees that were hollowed out at the bottom - big enough for the girls to fit in.








There were so many trees growing out of trees that had fallen. Very cool!
