Pray for Haiti

While life goes on for most of us here in the comfort of our homes, it does not go on for many still in Haiti. I was just looking at some pictures...they are graphic and horrific, but they are a reminder that we all need to be on our knees praying for God to pour out his mercy to those in Haiti. We need to continue to search deep within ourselves to see what we can do to help.

Over at Compassion's blog, there is a great idea for making a Haitian soup and inviting your neighbors or friends over to pray.


Another idea is to sponsor a child from Haiti. This little boy does not live near the area that was most affected by the earthquake, but because of the widespread devastation, all living in Haiti will suffer the affects. Givens needs a sponsor - someone to love him, encourage him and pray for him.

I'm writing this to urge you to PRAY. I'm writing this to urge you to take up Christ's cross and give. Taking up the cross means denying yourself. God doesn't tell us to make sure we are comfortable and have everything we need, then if there is any left over to help others. He tells us to help others. Period.
