The main attraction was the Spruce Goose...made entirely of wood! It was huge and quite amazing. You can see much better pictures on the museum's website.
Kevin's Grandpa Paul was a pilot in WWII and flew a B-17 like this one. Kevin and Sydney paid the extra money to go inside and see the interior.
All throughout the museum they had old airplane seats...some were placed simply for resting and others were placed so you could sit and watch little movies about the aircraft on exhibit. Every time we sat down, Kayleigh wanted to be buckled in!
Kevin was very excited to see this SR-71
This place was oozing money...even the playground was specially designed. And in summer of 2011, there will be a water park with waterslides coming out of an old 747!
so cool Is that close to you?
ReplyDeletewhat fun seats!!!!!
I saw the Spruce Goose back in 1982 when it was on display at a facility in Long Beach, California. It really IS huge!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to try to forward this to Grandpa Paul. He'd be so thrilled to see this!
ReplyDeleteDavid would love this. After being in the Air Force, he can identify planes by their sound. He says it's easy, but...
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat museum! You guys always find fun things around you!
