Music to My Ears
Wow...I have a whole new kind of appreciation for parents of Suzuki students! It is very interesting to be on the parent side of things and not just the teacher side! It is so easy to let the entire day (or weekend) slip by without taking 5-10 minutes to practice with the girls.
Today we practiced 3 times....5 minutes each time....and they gained so much ground!
Enjoy the video of Sydney. She's a bit scratchy, but it was her second attempt to play the whole song without any help!
Beautiful Sydney!! I'm so proud of you!
ReplyDeleteBravo!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSUPER We are so proud of you Sydney!!!!!!! You are just too cute!!!!!!!
hugs and Love
Chomp chomp chomp is about how I feel about scales too :P ha! I still love playing scales and making up songs from them. She's so cute playing!
ReplyDeleteOh my word. I'm not sure if I was laughing or crying (it was a mixture of both). Yes! Magnificent Sydney! Especially joyful as I ponder the significance of this very day. A recently made friend is coming over and I'm going to play "Carry Us Home" for her (song from Feb. 12th). This is a huge step for me as I believe God to "heal" my musical experiences to be able to step into what He has for me. You go Sydney Girl!
ReplyDeleteWay to go Sydney! Keep up the good work.
