McCall Nature Preserve

It was wet and rainy in Porltand so we headed east today for our hike. Our hiking book described McCall Nature Preserve as an area that is bathed in sunlight even when it's raining in Portland! Sure enough, we had plenty of sunshine. Unfortunately it was pretty cloudy and we couldn't see much of Mt. Hood or Mt. Adams. Supposedly the top of McCall point has great views of both mountains. I guess we will have to go back. The wildflowers were beautiful and we saw several we had never seen before. Once again, I took way too many pictures, and they don't really do justice to how beautiful it was. I guess you'll have to come and see if for yourself.

Although there were reports of a rattlesnake with 12 rattles sitting next to the trail, we didn't see it...or any others. We did, however, see these two lizards.
