After our "bad hike" Saturday...oh wait, I didn't write about that here. Well, our hike on Saturday turned into a disaster and thankfully had a good ending. Wanting to avoid the windy, windy ridge, Kevin thought it would be fun to take a short cut through the woods and meet up with the trail on the other side of the ridge. Well... it didn't quite happen that way. We got very close to the trail, but didn't realize it and ended up paralleling it through the thickest part of the woods. We ended up coming out right next to our car (Thank you Lord!), but there were moments when we thought we might be spending the night out there. Don't worry...next time Kevin mentions a short cut, the girls and I will run in the opposite direction!
So...Sunday we wanted to go on another hike, but the girls were not on board with the idea. After the "bad hike" they wanted nothing to do with hiking. But Kevin had the idea to go towards Mt. Hood and find some snow. They were thrilled (for about 15 minutes).
I can't believe it's snowing there! You should move to sunny, warm Buffalo- we've had an amazing spring!!! It hasn't snowed here since Feb
ReplyDeleteAS I was looking at all your hikes I had a thought... NO BUGS! Isn't it nice to live in a place where bugs don't rule? I miss that!
