Our Week

We've had a rainy, rainy week. The rivers are flooded, parking lots are flooded, our backyard is soggy....Thankfully, it looks like the rain is gone for at least the next 10 days and the sun is on its way to dry things up.

We had a break in the rain on Tuesday and walked down to the local nursing home to play some violin. Here's a cute picture of Kayleigh walking home with her violin. I can't believe how grown up my girls are looking!


The rest of the week we spent indoors...reading and doing school. I'm so thankful that my girls like to read. I love to catch them reading together.


We don't have big plans for the weekend. Kevin is headed to Olympia National Park with a local outdoor group to camp and hike Mt. Elinor. So the girls and I will find some ways to entertain ourselves. After our adventure packed weekend last week, I'm looking forward to a break from adventure.

I wish I was on a plane right now, flying to Illinois. My cousin, Brandi, is getting married tomorrow and I would love to be at her wedding. And tomorrow is also my Grandma Domnick's 95th birthday - can you believe it? My mom is having a big party at the nursing home for her on Sunday. If money grew on trees and vacation days were plentiful, we could go. Tis the price you pay when you live far from family...
