4th of July

Sydney LOVES 4th of July...if you ask her what her favorite holiday is, she'll tell you 4th of July. The past 2 years we were living in Marquette and they have a big parade, a waterfront festival and fireworks over the lake. It really was fun to celebrate the 4th in Marquette.

We put the girls down to bed around 7 pm and woke them up at 9:15. We found a spot near our house to park and could see fireworks in many directions. The neighborhood where we are trying to buy a house has a big celebration and fireworks display so that is what we were hoping to see. But we also saw fireworks across the Columbia River in many different towns in Washington. It wasn't the best fireworks I've ever seen, but it was cool to see so many - some really far, some closer.

Apparently fireworks are legal here in Oregon because people were doing them everywhere. Our neighbors were up quite late setting them off!
