Rainbow Day

Today was Rainbow Day.

What do you do on Rainbow Day?

Well, this is what WE did....

We started out the day with some rainbow pancackes.

And we dressed in very colorful clothes (complete with rainbow tights and hair bows). The girls' shirts are wet because they had just brushed their teeth.

We also went to a friend's house for lunch...you can read about that on my Thankful blog. Vicki, our friend, had no idea it was rainbow day (why would she?), but she jumped right into our silliness and found colorful little umbrellas to stick in the girls' drinks.

This was one of Kayleigh's outfits today. I think she looks like she walked off the set of an 80s movie with the headband and the tights that resemble leg warmers. She told me she was the most beautiful ballerina.

And we found this Rainbow Crystal science experiment left over from Sydney's birthday in our closet. We thought today was the perfect day to get it out and try to make the rainbow. Supposedly the colors will blend more as they sit, but you can see they have already started to...especially the test tube on the right side.

And we ended our day with rainbow popsicles. (Don't they look tired?)

We had other ideas, but there is only so much time in the day, and mamma only has so much energy! We'll save the painting and cookie decorating for another day.
