Saturday Sail

Before I post pictures of today's sailing adventure, I took some pictures of these plants I saw at the boat launch. This first picture reminds me of caterpillars. And I love the blackberries...don't they look like little bird nests?





So we launched the boat from Dalton Point (1 mile west of Multnomah Falls) and sailed about 3 miles to Rooster Rock State Park. Our plan was to get to Rooster Rock just as Grandma and Grandpa Redman were getting into town and our plan worked...we met them and had a picnic lunch. Then Grandma sailed back with us to Dalton and Grandpa met us there. He got some pictures of us actually sailing the boat that I'll have to post later.








We stopped at this island with sand dunes to play for a bit. The girls loved playing in the sand...we are hoping to come back here in a couple weeks to camp.
