I'm Back

I'm sorry to announce that Kevin's blogging days have come to an end...I will let him guest post whenever he wants, but I think he needs a break. I'm sure my posts won't be as witty, but there are some great hair and fashion moments he left out so I might have to continue that tradition.

In the meantime, after 23 hours of traveling, I made it home. I am exhausted, but so glad to be home with my three favorite people. I couldn't stop looking at my beautiful girls in the car. They were dressed in sunflowers as a "clue" to what was waiting for me at home.

We had a midnight birthday party!

We ate cake and exchanged some gifts. It was fun and a great way to reconnect as a family.

I am batting some sinus issues - I think it was a result of the high altitude we experienced in and around Cusco. Many of us on the team got quite congested and at least 2 of us (myself and Heidi) lost our voices. Other than that, I am so thankful for good health for the team experienced.

I will be posting all my photos and stories over on the Thankful blog. Please invite your family and friends to read about my experience. If you know other Compassion sponsors, I have some special messages for them.

Thank you for all your prayers for my family, myself and the team of advocates I traveled with.

What a sweet party to come home to! It must have been so good to get home to your beautiful girls and handsome husband! Glad you're not too mad at him for all the fun he poked at you while you were away!
    Hope you feel better soon.

  5. Bienvenidos a tu casa! I can welcome you to your own house, right? Praises for safe travels and family reunion! When I was on Kilimanjaro I lost my voice for almost a month! I kinda liked sounding like someone else in week two but that got old after a day or so... Welcome home!!!
