This and That

Outside my window....the sun is shining, more leaves are falling, the ducks are quacking.

Around the house....the girls are waiting patiently for me to do violin practice with them. Sydney has been very enthusiastic this week about playing and learning new songs. I'm thrilled! And she's sounding better every day because of all her practice. Kayleigh is still resistent, but she's getting better too!

I am thinking....about Kevin in Haiti. Everyday he has written, requesting that we pray God does something big while he's there. My prayers are with him, his team and the people they are ministering to. I am looking forward to hearing his stories and processing this experience with him. I am praying that each day, each experience shapes us and molds us so we can be his vessels. I am praying God will reveal our family's purpose and mission.

Our plans for the day...unfortunately we are headed to the airport in an hour to take Grandma Redman. We have had a great week with her and are all sad to see her go. But it also means daddy will be home soon, so that's good. The girls have a hard time saying goodbye when people come to visit, so I'm not looking forward to the tears. I'm so thankful for the week and fun we had, the memories we made.

I am thankful for....I'm so thankful Mary, in Ghana, now has a sponsor. I always rejoice when God speaks to people and opens their hearts to children living in poverty. I am excited for what God will do as he releases Mary from poverty, and releases the sponsors from wealth!

A picture from our week....
