Last weekend we took an opportunity to participate in our library's Magic Tree House Adventure to Antarctica, The highlight of the event was painting life-sized emperor penguins.
Kayleigh wasn't really tall enough so I helped her with the outline and she painted it.
She painted her name all by herself
Sydney loved doing this and of all the kids, took the longest to complete hers. I love how she added a baby (you can see it in the last picture). The library had read a story about baby penguins.
Love Syd's pose by her penguin - she's looking so grown up at 6! So cute to put the baby penguin facing it's "mom". (I wonder if she was thinking she should add a "Narnia" pet for the penguin in her drawing!)
