I love, love, love getting comments here....I'm going to try something new and respond more when you leave a comment. I love it when I leave a comment on other's blogs and they take the time to respond - especially when I ask a question.
Because of time I can't respond to every comment, but if I feel the comment warrants a response, I might just make one.

I love to read comments too. You are a good commenter. ;) You always encourage me! I am seriously considering becoming an Advocate. I am still a bit nervous but I believe it is what God wants me to do.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the treats and the book! Also I made folders for each one of our sponsored children and for our correspondent ... plus some others pen pals that we have. I made a folder for "my Compassion blogger/advocate friends."
I will keep you posted. I think one of my biggest fears is ... not being able to move the packets I have in hand. Plus, even now every just stares at me like I am nuts.

ReplyDeleteI always try to have a packet on hand so I can be ready if someone wants to sponsor. But more often than not, the packet expires without anyone sponsoring the child. It's ok.....it's really up to God to bring in the harvest. I look at it more as an opportunity to "get to know a child" and be able to pray for them for 4-6 weeks - even if I can't get him or her sponsored. And even just featuring them on your blog will put a face and name to poverty for others.
Be faithful to what God is calling you to - He will do the rest.
I love your comments on my blog! It's so nice to know that someone is reading and so often, you offer me support or a new way of looking at things. I love it when I get responses to comments as well - it makes blogging feel like more of a conversation.
