Word for 2011

Last year was the first year I chose a word for the year. I was inspired by this post to allow God to speak to me all year, through one word. I even read through the document One Word by Dan Britton (available in the post), to help me better understand the journey I was embarking on.

The word I chose for 2010 seemed basic - simple yet so complex - and God did teach me many new things throughout the year about LOVE.

This year, I feel God prompting me to be QUIET - to create space in my life to focus and listen - to others and most importantly to God.

I have already seen God weaving different areas of my life into this theme and I am excited about all He has to show me.

For today I will leave you with the first verse I plan to memorize in 2011....

The Lord your God is with you, he is might to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing. - Zephaniah 3:17
