Waterfalls and Birthdays

After our partial ascend up Mt. Hood, Kevin had enough energy to take Grandma and Grandpa Hall for a short waterfall hike (I stayed home to rest).

Yesterday was Ayon's birthday. Ayon has been our correspondent child through Compassion for a couple years - he writes great letters and writes often. Recently (last week), God allowed us to officially become his sponsors.

And today is Emanuel's birthday - he is 6 like Sydney! I met sweet Emanuel the first day I was in Peru. As his entire family stood before me and I was explaining to them I would try to find a sponsor for Emanuel, God reminded me I was looking for a child to sponsor while I was on my trip. It was an incredible way to start the sponsorship relationship - face to face with Emanuel and this family.
