India

I've become somewhat of an expert for India lately. Well, calling myself an "expert" might be stretching it, but I've certainly added to my knowledge of this country these past couple weeks.

In our homeschool co-op I am teaching a geography/missions class this term. I teach it twice, to two different age groups: kindergarten and 6-12 yr olds. We are visiting 5 countries (China, India, Egypt, Nigeria and North Korea). We are learning as much as we can about the people, land and culture and we are learning about Christian children who live with religious persecution (using Kids of Courage by Voice of the Martyrs).

It has been fascinating. I was especially excited to learn more about India since we have five Compassion children there, as well as our Child Survival Program. Syd, Kay and I took some time to figure out exactly where our Compassion children live and this is what we came up with.

And in case you haven't met them, here they are.....

Over at my new blog, Compassion Family, I wrote a pretty detailed post about India with a ton of resources for those wanting to learn more about the country. Go check it out and leave me a comment telling me where your Compassion children live.
