Mother's Day and Artwork

Above is the card I got from Kayleigh - I love watching how her characters and drawing is developing.

I had a splendid Mother's Day. I woke up to little feet coming in and out of my bedroom ~ the girls were "decorating" my room. They sent me downstairs to get my coffee and while I was gone, they got a bubble bath ready for me....a super bubbly, warm, jet bath. They were so excited about this.

They used half a bottle of shampoo to make the bath bubbly. And they didn't use the cheap bottle of Suave...they managed to find the more pricey Ultra Swim shampoo that we use to get the chlorine out of their hair.

After the bath, I was seated on a throne and crowned Queen. They celebrated with party poppers and other confetti they had made (are you imagining the mess?). We also painted each other's nails. (again, are you imagining the mess?)

After church we got some Chinese food, which we brought home and ate while watching Little House on the Prairie.

Now...check out these drawings Sydney did. Are you familiar with Mo Willem's Elephant and Piggie books? I was impressed at her rendering of these two characters.
