Blogger Trip

Is anyone out there following the Compassion Bloggers trip to the Philippines?

I LOVE these trips and this one is no exception. To get a look at different cultures, living conditions, children and families. Most importantly to witness the work God is doing through Compassion International in lives all over the world.

The stories and photographs are beautiful and heartbreaking.

I would love for you to take the time to read every post, but I realize you may not have time (or interest) to read them all.

For my sake, would you at least read this one?

And then if you have more time, try these....

Remember these beautiful children? They are still available for sponsorship....

Elizabeth from Bolivia

Feraol from Ethiopia

"And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me." ~ Matthew 18:5

  3. I liked that post but I actually came to opposite conclusions. I think when we have poverty right beside us we do ignore it, at least I tend to. I am actually more likely to buy shoes for the person in the Phillipeans than for someone down my street. This is because I often think 'hey this is America, if your poor here it's your own fault'. This is usually not fair, although I think it's true that like, Francis Chan says 'you really have to try hard to be homeless in the US'. But I admit that distance is a factor for me but in the opposite direction of that blogger. She says she would be more likely to help the person nearby, I am less likely. -wierd, convicting and good to think about.
