Happy Day

Kevin and I are both pretty excited about tonight....

That's right...we get to go see the Amy Grant / Michael W. Smith FRIENDS concert. When I first saw it advertised and learned they were coming to Portland, I knew it was the perfect way to spend Kevin's birthday.

What I didn't plan on was the surprise I got yesterday in the form of an email.

You see, I have a friend who works for Compassion and her husband also works for Compassion. I've never met her husband, but he works in artist relations and his biggest artist is MWS.

I emailed P to see if she was going to the concert and this is the reply I got...

HI Jill,

I can't go because I fly out on Thursday and need to time to pack…however…can you get to the concert by 6 pm? My husband would like to introduce you all to MWS. He will take you back to meet them!! Tell your husband happy birthday!!

Here is his number…he said to call him when you get there.

Probably easiest to text me since sometimes it is really loud and I don't catch calls. The formal meet and greet with Michael and Amy is at 6:15, but that is more like cattle in a line. Instead, I will have you come back right before that or right after it. You would be able to get a little more time with them that way.

The girls think tomorrow is Kevin's birthday, since that's when we'll be celebrating it as a family.
