We finally had some good hiking weather this past weekend. We have had so much rain and knew anything hikes near us would be super muddy, so we drove 60 miles east and hiked along the Deschutes River. We had beautiful sunny weather, as you can see.
We kept our eyes open for interesting things to photograph and found the following....
an inch worm (who currently resides in Sydney's bedroom)
very large black beetles (these things were about the size of my thumb)
lizards of various sizes
wildflowers beginning to bloom
And Kayleigh spotted this geo-cache, hidden in some rocks. We looked inside and signed the notebook.
You can see in this picture where the Deschutes River meets the Colombia River.
After our hike we headed across the river to Maryhill museum to visit and photograph the peacocks - I'll put those pictures up tomorrow!
Your pictures are so amazing!!! the details you can get. Love to go on hikes with you!!!!
