Neighbors, Baskets and Hair

On Easter we were visited by these very colorful bunnies - our two neighbors stopped by with some gifts for us.

The girls got some fun light up bunnies and fluffy pens and I got this beautiful bouquet of flowers.

Did you notice the vase?

I found this on the camera when I was downloading my pictures. Apparently Kay took a self-portrait. I love the double chin! The orange thing is something you can clip in your hair. She got if from a friend at church.

Do you remember these pictures? This is Dominic Muchangi in Kenya. My Compassion friend, Julie, went to Kenya last month and delivered a package to him from us. He must have known he was meeting someone who would be representing his sponsors because he showed up with this basket his mother made.

He gave this basket to Julie to bring back to us and it now sits in our home. It is BEAUTIFUL and such a treasure! I have no idea how we will end up using it, but we have a "Compassion" room of sorts and it looks beautiful in there.

We took some pictures of us holding it so we can send these to Dominic Muchangi and his mother. Julie said he was very proud of this basket and I want him to know how much we appreciate it.

Of course Sydney started getting silly with it....

You may notice the girls are looking a bit shabby in the hair department. They both want to grow their hair out - including their bangs. It's just getting to the "I can't stand this anymore - you need a haircut" stage.

Speaking of hair....I love Kayleigh's hair like this.

 That's all!

  2. The basket is beautiful- what a treasure! It's so hard to grow your hair out and still look good, but Syd & Kay manage to do just that. They couldn't look bad if they tried!
