Race Day

This morning was a 15K relay that Kevin and I participated in. To get things started, they had a kid's race - 300 meters - and both girls ran. We didn't realize until we were getting in the car that Syd's sneakers no longer fit her so she wore her everyday shoes.

Sydney was ahead of Kayleigh for most of the race, but near the end Kayleigh pulled ahead and beat her sister to the finish line. 

Then it was time for the relay to begin. I ran the first 5K leg and Kevin then ran the next two.

There I go....

And here I am finishing up - I ended up with my best time ever (23:24 - which makes me suspicious of the actual length of the course)

We are trying to run one race a month so we got these cool running shirts from the Compassion store. Our team name today was "Team Compassion" and at least one person asked us what our shirts were about.

And now tomorrow is Compassion Sunday - it's a Compassion kind of weekend! (last weekend was too!!)
