We've had fantastic weather this week and it seemed like the perfect time to work in the yard and get the gardens planted. So I've been busy....
before (these are the two garden boxes I had last year)
And at the end of the summer Kevin built me this one...
and this one
After filling them with dirt, they were ready to plant. This one is our herb garden. I moved the cilantro from the other garden and it's still a bit sad about relocating.
This first bed has lettuce ~ 4 different kinds ~ and spinach. The bed in back has strawberries, broccoli and corn.
There are sunflowers planted (seeds from last year's flowers) all along the fence. I can't wait until they are growing and blooming. This bed has zucchini and squash plants and tomato plants.
And here are just some general pictures of our yard. I've been adding quite a bit to the perennial flower garden all along the back also.
The front yard
I just love these...
And this is what happens to a bag of grass seed that gets wet and gets some sunlight...
Your yard looks so nice! I remember what it looked like when you first bought the home. What a difference! I'm longing to get out there!
