We returned home from our trip to NY on July 4th. We were home by noon and had the rest of the day ahead of us to unpack, get groceries, rest and get back into a groove.
Around 4pm our neighbors came over and invited us to their house for a cook out and fireworks. They live right on the lake that is in our neighborhood and around 7pm there was a boat parade. The girls thought this was so cool ~ especially since some of the boaters threw candy onto the shores.
We left the picnic early and came home to put the girls to bed. Both girls really wanted to see the fireworks, so we promised to wake them up when it got dark.
Although there was no official fireworks display nearby, enough neighbors do their own and we got to see some great fireworks right from our house (or more accurately our neighbor's house). It was fun sitting on their dock, watching the fireworks.
And of course we had fun with our camera.
This makes me love our neighborhood even more!
Love the boat parade!!! We did that last year on Upper with Pete and Sally I was dressed like Lady Liberty! You would have been so proud of me!!! Great fireworks pictures. Can not believe how grown up the girls look. I am soooooooo excited to see you all!!! counting the day and hours hugs and love
