Do You See What I See?

None of my photos are very good because let's face it, I don't want to get THAT close. I did get pretty close at one point, but I freaked out when it looked up at me.

Earlier today Kayleigh and I were outside watering the garden and she said, "Mom, there is a baby skunk in our yard."

I looked over by the two raised beds and sure enough, there was a skunk. We slowly, but quickly made our way into the house. By the time I grabbed the camera and went back outside, it had squeezed under the fence back into the swamp area where it lives.

Strange that it was out in the middle of the day.

So I resumed watering. Then I noticed movement in my neighbor's yard and saw the skunk was just on the other side of his fence.

But then it disappeared again.

For a while.

Not too long ago I sent Kayleigh upstairs for quiet time and she called down, "Mom, I see the skunk."

Turns out there are at least two still roaming around just on the other side of the fence that separates our yard from the swamp. At one point I think I saw three, but I definitely saw two.

I prefer to see none.
