A former violin student sent this link to me and it filled my heart with joy. It spoke to me on so many levels - as a musician, as a teacher, as a wanna-be missionary, as an advocate for those living in poverty, as a wanna-be minimalist.
As I watched it a dream was born within me....maybe someday.
It's about 13 minutes long, but it's worth it.
I laughed when they mentioned having to share instruments. Just 2 days ago I ran across a grant proposal I wrote over 10 years ago where we were seeking more instruments for our Suzuki program in NC. At the time we had 14 violins and 150 violin students, so I know what it's like to share the instruments!
