East

In an effort to see the sun, we headed east today. The sun did peak through the clouds, but it's so, so hazy from all the surrounding forest fires. You can't see Mt. Hood or any of the other Cascade peaks right now.

After walking around Horsethief Butte a bit, we headed even farther east to Maryhill Museum.

We walked around the grounds and gardens, hoping to catch a glimpse of the peacocks and peahens that usually roam the grounds. Finally we asked someone who worked there and they told us the "board voted to remove them from the grounds and so they've been relocated".  We were so sad, but he said he still had a few feathers and went to get each girl one. I wonder if we'll ever go back there now that the birds are gone.

We also stopped at a couple different places to do some wine tasting.

Kayleigh found these glasses and thought they were pretty cool. She wanted to keep them, but we turned them in.

Then on our way home we passed some buffalo in a field....

weird!
