Alright....so this is the last of our Central Oregon photos. One night we let the girls stay up late so we could look at the stars. Kevin likes to experiment with taking night photos, and Syd had fun with the stars iphone app.
Can you see the big dipper?
Here are a couple panoramic shots I forgot to put up on my Crater Lake post...
We let the girls cook every night and they did a pretty good job. Of course there was adult supervision, but they thought they were pretty big stuff being put in charge of getting dinner on the table.
On our final day we went to the Lava Cast Forest. We have tried to find this before, but were not successful. This time, we found it. We weren't sure what to expect, but it ended up being pretty cool.
There were several lava tubes ~ some big enough for the girls to climb into and others we just looked through.
And here Kayleigh is standing in one of the many "lava casts" created by the lava that flowed through this forest. The trees are long gone, but there are big holes ~ casts ~ where the trees once stood.
We went for one final walk along the Deschutes in Sunriver our last evening. So pretty.
sure enjoyed all your pictures!!!! what an awesome trip!!! love your cooks!!! your meals look awesome!!
ReplyDeleteI too loved all the pics. Missing Oregon and all the things we didn't get a chance to go see. Guess we will have to vacation there someday!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful vacation! Can I hire those cooks when we go away? They're awfully cute and the food looks good too!
