Well, I'll tell you....
We've just gotten back from another adventure in central Oregon - our favorite place to go and escape our regular lives. We were supposed to go over Martin Luther King Jr. weekend, but we were not quite over the stomach virus that hit our house. So we rescheduled and went this past weekend.
It was lovely. There wasn't quite as much snow as we were hoping for, but it was still lovely.
Our first full day, Friday, was rainy. Not very conducive to skiing or hiking, so we were lazy and hung out at the house. Then Kevin looked out the window and noticed one of our tires was flat. So we put on the spare (I got a lesson in how to change a tire) and headed into town to get it fixed. Then we went swimming.
Saturday was a much better day (weather wise) and so we hit the trails.
It was pretty icy, so it wasn't the best skiing experience we've had, but it was still nice to be out on our skis.
That's about all we did on Saturday. Oh...we went swimming again, but that's all.
I'll post more tomorrow about our hike on Sunday.
