Sunday Hike

That wonderful, spring-like weather that we've been having....it's gone. And the cloudy, rainy, cooler weather that is typical for Oregon in March is here in full force.

We tried to escape it a bit by driving east for a hike along the river and we did see some blue sky. But overall it was cool and damp.

We found this cool stick that had grown in a circular shape and the girls tried it on as their circlet.

Sydney ended up wearing it all day (until it broke).

Spring means wildflowers and we were treated to some of the first species that bloom every year. There are so many around these parts and they bloom at different times so it was fun to see some of the first ones.

And seeing ferns growing makes me happy.

Moss makes me happy, too. It's so interesting when there are so many different kinds growing and it forms a carpet of sorts.

And there was tree climbing....

And arrow shooting....(look for the arrow as it flies through the air)

And even a creek crossing (and we all managed to keep dry!)

What did you do on Sunday?
