Although I dream of living out in the country a little bit, I love our neighborhood. For those of you who haven't been here, we live in a neighborhood that is built around and nestled between two small lakes. One of those lakes is right across the street from us.
Often we have gorgeous sunsets like the one we had last night.
If you walk around the lake, it's almost exactly 3 miles - perfect for a walk or run. When the weather is nice, we do this walk, run, bike ride or scoot several times a week.
Today the girls rode their scooters while I walked.
Most people in our neighborhood take great pride in their lawns and gardens and it's a beautiful place to walk. Especially this time of year. After 3 1/2 years of living here, I'm still amazed at the wide variety of plants and tress that are grown here.
I love to take my camera along and see what I can find.
There is even an abundance of dandelions!
There is a small park and sometimes the girls ask to stop and swing a bit.
And then there is this fence that is overgrown with wisteria and begs to be smelled!
Back in our yard, I'm happy to have the lettuce planted. After I return from Mexico, I plan to really spend some time in the garden - planting and planning!
I truly love your neighborhood too. It's so pretty and natural. To have a lake right across the street is so wonderful. I miss walking the 3 miles around and can not wait to do it again- especially when we have Syd & Kay as our escorts.
