Trip to the Tulip Farm

One of the great things about living where we do is the great growing conditions. A quick drive through the country will take you by several nurseries or orchards and even tulip farms! Yesterday, we went to the tulip farm (about an hour from our house) with our good friends.

Not only were the tulips beautiful, it was a fun day with Nadia and Josiah who are headed to Japan for a month later this week.

I took about 140 photos...I won't post them all, I promise. But I will post a lot of them. Hope you enjoy!

Sydney quickly found the mud and tested out her boots...

She was drawn to it. See how the other two are running on the grass, but Sydney is stuck in the mud? Yeah... she was covered in mud by the time we left!

These were my favorite - parrot tulips

There were lots of fun photo "props" - like this pink tractor in the middle of the fields.

And this red truck...

These were like wine glasses - so perfectly formed.

Ok...I'll stop. I think you get the idea of how beautiful it is!  A little taste of Holland right here in Oregon!

  1. Gorgeous, GORGEOUS photos!! Love the "ribbons" or stripes of colored rows of tulips. And that field of mixed colors is HUGE!! What fun!

  2. Absolutely breathtaking! They are all so beautiful, I couldn't even begin to pick a favorite! I think the 2 blonde ones in rubber boots are the prettiest flowers by far!
