First Day of Summer

We welcomed summer by going for a walk at a nearby nature preserve. It was sunny and warm and we were hoping to spot a lot of wildlife. Plus, our camera is back and we need to get reaquainted!

I took the first two photos with my iphone and then filtered them up through instagram. I love instagram!! I like creating new looks with the filters - Kevin says it's "cheating", but I really have fun with it.

We didn't see many birds or ducks or turtles like we had hoped. Still, it was a nice walk and it's always a fun challenge to find beautiful things to capture. This plant below caught my eye because of all the colors going on.

We did see a couple bull frogs.
